PR-Inside reports that Joaquin is shooting a documentary about his transition from actor to musician. Antony Langdon was already shooting him on the red carpet of "The Reading of 'The World of Nick Adams'" on October 27th and Joaquin was at Hollywood night spot Bardot at midnight on Monday with a camera crew including Casey Affleck.
According to a 'source': "He was filming a documentary of his transition from acting to music."

On the other hand, I had the huge luck to attend a "Master-Class" with James Gray yesterday evening in Paris: he sang Joaquin's praises, mentioned that Joaquin confirmed his retirement directly to him on saturday (and he made an hilarious imitation of Joaquin's answer) and said that now he has to find another actor. |

"A close associate" of Joaquin told the Chicago Sun Times about his new career:
"This is the real deal. Joaquin is not only working on an album, he's already talking to a number of people about putting together a concert tour for either late next year or early 2010 to promote it. [...] He's interested in a wide range of styles -- clearly rock with a pop twist, and of course he developed a great love of country [music] when he did 'Walk the Line.'"
